American Film maker, Paul Shrader is to write and direct the big budget Indian action movie, “Extreme City”.  Shrader, who wrote “Raging Bull” and “Taxi Driver”, which starred Robert Deniro says Hollywood is a barren place that wants no part of these days. 

This is what Paul had to say on the subject: 
“I take a good look around and what I see is a barren, barren place,” he said. “In terms of the financial community, in terms of audiences, in terms of distribution. It’s cold out there.”

Bollywood and Hollywood have beem meeting in the middle for a while now.  Steven Spielberg’s Dreamworks is now backed by India based firm Reliance Entertainment, and Will Smith’s production company is producing two films with Indian counterpart UTV.
